If you’ve got a noggin full of general knowledge and a competitive streak, then this year’s Bok Radio’s Slim Vang Sy Baas competition is calling your name. This is no ordinary quiz – it’s a chance to win big cash prizes, put your boss to the test, and even drive away in a brand-new car worth R300,000.
Group1 Auto Kuils River and Stellenbosch are making it all possible – teaming up with Bok Radio’s Bok Brêkfis to bring you a competition that’s as much about fun as it is about bragging rights. Whether you’re the go-to quiz master in your family or just enjoy testing your trivia skills, this is the ultimate challenge.
How It Works
Every weekday at 7:40 AM on Bok Brêkfis, one lucky listener takes on the Slim Vang Sy Baas quiz. The goal? Answer as many general knowledge questions correctly as possible in 60 seconds. Get the highest score, and you’ll walk away with R5,000 cash, proudly sponsored by Group1 Auto.
But there’s a twist. The Thursday winner must nominate their boss to step up to the mic on Friday. If the boss manages to match or beat the score, they win a Bok Radio advertising package worth R10,000, plus the chance to promote their business on air.
And then there’s the grand prize – because this year, one lucky finalist will drive away in a brand-new car!

Think you have what it takes? Getting your name in the game is as easy as sending a WhatsApp message. WhatsApp the word “SLIM” to 074 2000 989 between 6:00 and 7:00 AM on weekdays. If selected, Bok Radio will call you live on air to take on the ultimate general knowledge challenge.
